I almost forgot to post my update for this past weekend. I have been doing a little work on finishing some stitched pieces and I have come to the conclusion that I hate finishing items. I can use a sewing machine fine, I can do blind stitching by hand no problem, but trying to think of ways to do it is all together a different story. Everything shouldn't or can't be framed, but anything pass that and I'm out of my element. So needless to say I didn't stitch as much as I had planned but here is my update of "Africa".
Well it's cloudy and rainy here today and a great day for stitching so I'll get back to it. Welcome to my new followers and thanks for stopping by and I just love the comment. Time to make some little xxs.

Oh my goodness! Africa is so beautiful so far! Enjoy your rainy day stitching my friend.
Gorgeous stitching Minnie
Well Minnie all I can say is keep looking around at everyone's blogs for inspiration. Find good directions and take your time. You will probably come up with something that won't be all that hard. And you may just find out you are good at it Minnie. :)
Your lady looks beautiful. I love the colors in this piece.
As to finishing things, I shamelessly look at others finishes, look for tutorials and attempt to imitate what I see.
Great progress! I know there are people you can hire to do finihses for you (my stitch store uses someone in Texas I think?).
It is looking gorgeous:)
Wow Minnie!! She is coming along and quickly! Faye (carolinastitcher.blogspot.com) does beautiful and creative finishing work.
Beautiful progress, well done!
"Africa" is looking gorgeous! And girlfriend, you KNOW I share your dislike of finishing! I keep waiting for those little finishing fairies or elves to show up at night & finish them for me but I guess they were only willing to help that old shoemaker guy : )
Hello
Just found your lovely blog.
Your stitching is beautiful!
Love Freddy Frog too and your stitchy room is just great!
She is positively beautiful.
Catherine
Africa is coming along beautifully. The colours are just gorgeous.
I'm another one who loves the stitching but hates the finishing. I have a bag of stuff, waiting! LOL
Ooooh I love the colors and the sparklies in that piece - looks absolutely lovely!
Great job on Africa!
I also have a hard time figuring out how to finish my cross stitch. Usually I check out the internet to see what someone else has done :)
Lots of progress Minnie!! She is looking so beautiful!
Love this, Minnie.
I know what you mean about thinking up ideas for finishing. I'm looking forward to seeing yours when you can show them. :D
