My July IHSW & WIPOCALYPSE Reports

Before I show pictures I have to say that I didnt get as much stitching done and Im going to blame it on my husband.  On Saturday when I was just sitting down to stitch DH came home from the golf course (yes in 90 degree heat) and asked I mean announced that he was taking me to the movies to see RIPD. (Which was really cute, I liked it.) Anyway after the movie we had to eat and then walk off some of the food so we stopped at B&N and I picked up a little light reading.
Long story short not a whole lot of stitching got done that day. Then came Sunday, well after he had again gone to play golf and got back home I was obligated to cook dinner since he wasnt forcing me to go out to eat. While the oven was already on cooking dinner, I decided to take a bag of Amish Friendship Bread batter out of the freezer and make a few loaves.  These are what I call Pina Colada because it is flavored with Coconut cream pudding, shredded coconut, and pineapple extract.
As you can see it is really good.
As a result of all the interruption by DH I was only able to stitch another row and a half on the wedding/anniversary sampler which from now on will be SO,SN (Something Old, Something New).
As for the Wipocalypse part of this post, there was no progress on any of my current wips. I stitched a design for my up-coming needle book exchange (which I cant show), I stitched the third part of the LHN Hometown Holiday Series Caroling Quartet I stitched LHN Needleworker and youve already seen these pictures.

So there you have it, if it hadnt been for DH forcing me to do other things I would have had much more to show. So while he is at work and the laundry is in the washer and dryer Ill sit and make some more wonderful little xxs.  Thanks for stopping byJ

Minnie, you are too funny. Those husband's are catch-all(s). I'm blaming my DH for not letting me get a Christmas in July stitch done…LOL. I had to finish the stingray. I'm still pushing to get a small done though. Rat's… DD birthday is soon too.
Your Amish Friendship Bread looks and sounds good too. Wish I could have joined ya.
Keep working those stitches and send DH to the golf course. LOL.

Well, someone has to be responsible when we don't find the time for stitching, lol. But I'm sure you had a fantastic time with your husband.

You may not have done a lot of stitching but I sure enjoyed looking at & dreaming about eating that Pina Colada bread : )

Your weekends sounds wonderfully relaxing and though you didn't get much stitching in what you have is still lovely.

My mama burned me out on Amish Friendship bread-I just can't eat, but your additions sound really good.

Sounds like you had a great weekend with your husband and I love your reading material!

Well, it sound like you had almost as much fun over the weekend as you would have had stitching. And that's all that matters.

What a lot of wonderful "distractions" for you. I love unplanned getaways. A quick lunch or dinner out. A little unplanned shopping. Just out to explore some not so traveled roads. They're all pleasant getaways. Love them!

Hello Minnie love your stitching, the Wedding Sampler is going to be beautiful and I love the LHN Needleworker. I think I might need to get that one for myself?? LOL I think it's great that you and DH got to have such a nice time with each other.
